Fics like illusions

He wants, wants, wants. Gi-hun swallows the want. Ignores the longing. Squeezes a little tighter on Young-il’s shoulder to check if he’s real. “You can’t be here,” Gi-hun says, rough, hushed enough for the bystanders to not catch. They probably still do, the silence in the dormitory deafening. “You weren’t supposed to be here,” Young-il says in return, leaning his head on the wall. He sighs and closes his eyes briefly. “You weren’t supposed to find out like this.” - Or, a retelling of season two, except Gi-hun meets and falls for a man called Young-il during the search party of episode one. They meet again in the games.
