Fics like Not Good Enough

Cloud, now 27, enlisted in the military at the age of 15 with the hopes of joining the SOLDIER program. When that failed, he decided to make the best of a bad situation and stay as an infantryman in the Shinra military. However, when war broke out again between Shinra and Wutai, Cloud was sent to the front lines where he watched countless people die, including his best friend. It eventually led to his injury that got him discharged. Now, he's been forced to return to his home of Nibelheim and face his memories head on. Events of the game basically never happened. Warnings in advance for PTSD and depression. Anything depicted from Cloud's memories will not be overly graphic.
