Fics like We'll see where it ends

Odysseus is home. Athena’s wounds have, for the most part, healed. The suitors are no longer terrorizing Penelope and Telemachus. It should be a happy ending, yet the aftereffects of twenty years of trauma are slow to go away. Chapter 1: Odysseus has been traumatized by war, and now his son is training with a war goddess. Athena has been traumatized by her king-father, and now Telemachus has his king-father back. Telemachus, tired of his father and his best friend to trying to protect him from each other, just wants them to work out their issues. Chapter 2: Athena and Penelope are both ignoring their own issues and pushing themselves too hard trying to take care of the people they love. After Athena reveals what happened during God Games, they find this out about each other. Chapter 3: Odysseus is furious at Zeus. Telemachus doesn't disagree with his father's reasoning, but Odysseus's rage still scares him. Both of them want to make sure Athena doesn't get hurt again—but neither of them know how. Can be read as a follow-up to my series Aftershocks, or on its own.
