Fics like after the storm

Heavy rain pounds against the Destiny’s Bounty’s wooden floorboards on the deck, lightning striking down and thunder following suit. The clouds are a dark, charcoal gray, and the sounds of crashing thunder are much louder than usual, causing him to jump slightly. Maybe that’s just his mind playing tricks on him, making the storm seem scarier than it is, but to Cole, this is the worst he’s felt since his mother passed. or Cole used to love the rain, but that hasn't been the case since he's turned into a ghost. Jay helps him, but not without a couple bumps in the process.
