Fics like Tis The Damn Season

It’s the holiday season, and Varian’s coming back to Corona for the first time in three years. It’s supposed to be a good thing, or so he tells himself. A chance to be with his dad, to reconnect with his childhood friends. When he discovers Hugo is also home for the holidays, he doesn’t care. He doesn’t. So what if they were maybe a little bit in love when they were teenagers? So what if Hugo had unapologetically left Varian utterly heartbroken? It’s not like he’s still hung up on him. Despite this unforeseen… challenge, Varian is determined to not let Hugo get to him in any way. But when he starts to realize that this isn’t the same boy who’d left him, and that maybe there’s something left between them… well, you know what they say. Tis the damn season. (Fanart linked in the first chapter!!!)
