Fics like Beneath the Surface

Written for both the Wyllstarion Secret Solstice and the bg3 kinkmeme, exploring a rockier beginning to Astarion's relationship with the Tadfools, and especially the handsome Blade of Frontiers. When the shadows close in and Astarion finds he cannot trust any of his companions, what is a vampire to do? ~*~ In retrospect it was a very stupid idea to try a little taste of the dead woman, the one who'd perished by the overturned caravan. For one, the single swallow Astarion had managed hadn't even tasted good. Her blood had spoiled after the long hours spent baking in the hot sun. And of course he'd been caught. Like the fool he is, fangs out and dripping with the putrid blood in plain sight of the handsome Blade of Frontiers.
