Fics like A Lesson in Survival

At twelve, Buggy steals the knife from a pirate and uses it to kill the very man from whom he takes it. The blade stays with him for over a decade. That is, until he crosses paths with a boy who carries fire in his veins and a snarl on his face. *** Ace's knife is more than just a weapon; it is a gift, a wish, meant to help him survive and fulfill his dream. *** Shanks would recognize that knife anywhere. It isn’t just a blade, it is a symbol.
