The Taylor Swift lyric "You know how to ball, I know Aristotle" lives rent-free in my head at least 30x a day, so I obviously needed to write a cliché Harvard (undergrad) AU where Harvey loses his athletic full ride after his baseball injury and has to get tutored by Mike to bring up his grades. If anyone can get the pain of having everything taken away from them in one day, it's Mike. This switches between Mike's and Harvey's POV, but it doesn't repeat events. Based on the emotional needs of a scene, it's either written with Mike's inner monologue or Harvey's with POV changes noted. —“You’re a double major?” “Triple, actually. With poli-sci and psych minors.” Harvey gaped at him. “Jesus, kid. When do you sleep?” “I’m a chronic insomniac,” Mike joked. Or maybe he was serious. Harvey couldn’t tell. “Are you some kind of genius or something?” Mike looked almost sad when he said, “Or something.” Weird. —
