Fics like Since I Memorized Your Face

“Oxford, like twenty years ago—” Twenty-one, actually. “I was there for a term abroad. We had a class together.” Alex huffs a disbelieving laugh and pushes a hand back through his curls. “We, uh, well. There was that party after final exams…” “I’m so sorry, I don’t recall that one” Henry lies, flashing an apologetic smile. “I don’t remember the details of most of those uni parties these days.” (Twenty years ago, Henry met—and let go of—his soulmate. Now he's in his 40s, with a new job in a new city, and certainly not expecting said soulmate to come barreling into his life again. A small white lie seems like the simplest way to keep things from getting awkward, but real life has a way of getting complicated.) 12/23: New holiday epilogue added!
