Fics like If you knew what it meant to me

Scratching at his jaw, Victor nurses his own beer and watches Logan’s throat shift as he swallows. The girls usually drawn in by his fine looks give them a wide berth as the evening wanes. “You got a smile in there somewhere, Jimmy, or you holding out for a drought?” The mug’s empty when Logan finally sets it down. He scrubs a hand over his frowning mouth. “What?” “I said–” Victor stands, drags his chair closer and swings it around to straddle. “–what’s a man got to do to get a smile out of you? Brought you out somewhere nice.” He spreads a hand at the dusky ambiance and when Logan’s dark eyes lift, thinks maybe he likes this place more for how his brother looks in it than the place itself. “Bought you a drink with my hard-earned cash. And you can’t be bothered to indulge me in a little friendly conversation.”
