Fics like both arms cradle you now

“Morning, Ellie. What time is it?” He rubbed his eyes and pushed himself up. Light wasn’t the type to fall asleep at a desk, getting stuck looking over boring maps and whatnot. It’d just been a long day, with the leaders nagging him here and there. “Noon. Are you feeling alright?” “Fine as I can be.” He rubbed his eyes, blinking away the hazy dots and cracks along his vision. To say his eyesight was damaged was an understatement. He’d gotten hearing aids from the copious amounts of lightning and energy blasts he’d gone through, but his vision was something entirely different. “Have you gotten your injections yet?” “... Crap. Nope, I gotta go see the professor.” (A Post-Canon Ruined Reality Fic.)
