Fics like Beneath the Darkling's Gaze

Ingrid never expected her quiet life would take a turn straight into the pages of her favorite fantasy series. One moment, she was binge-watching Shadow and Bone; the next, she woke up in Ravka, the Sun Summoner herself. But this isn’t the comforting world of fiction—this is real, raw, and dangerous. Trapped in a court full of scheming nobles, power-hungry Grisha, and a king who sees her as a pawn, Ingrid struggles to navigate a path between survival and destiny. Then there’s General Kirigan—the Darkling. He’s everything she admired on-screen and feared in the books: magnetic, dangerous, and endlessly enigmatic. As Ingrid finds herself entangled in his world, she can’t shake the fear that her fate will mirror Alina Starkova’s—a pawn manipulated and betrayed by those who claim to protect her. With her training beginning, alliances forming, and danger lurking around every shadow, Ingrid must decide: can she change the story she already knows? Or is she doomed to become a pawn in a war she’s powerless to stop? This isn’t a fairytale—this is survival.
