It’s funny how Sam openly said that he was ready to die, multiple times, and Dean never bothered to ask, not even once... Why? Nobody ever asked why Sam was so eager to go with Death. If they had, he would’ve pointed to Charlie’s burning pyre and a town covered in darkness as evidence to help them understand why he shouldn’t be alive. The worst part is, Sam knows deep down his brother agrees with this, even if he won't ever say it out loud without the mark on his arm.
