Fics like Good Enough

This was not the plan. The plan was for you to transfer your mind to a power suit and take the Climber down to site Tau, where you would find the ARK and launch it into space the way the original PATHOS-II team was supposed to. The plan was to get you and Catherine on the ARK and go with the rest of humanity into a virtual reality that would keep you alive and safe on a satellite and far, far away from the the wreckage of you apocalyptic planet. The plan was for you to get on the ARK and leave. Nowhere in the plan were you supposed to wake up alone at the bottom of the fucking ocean.
