Fics like The Leftovers

Eddie stopped in his tracks, tissues in one hand and lube in the other. Another groan. “You okay?” He called through the bedroom door. “Y-yeah - just, uh…just got conditioner in my eye.” Buck’s voice sounded back over the sound of the shower. “Well if you’d let me rinse it out -” He started. “I am a grown man, I can rinse my own hair.” Buck cut in. “Can or should?” He worried. “Eddie - it’s - I am fine.” He held a finger decidedly away from his prostate to keep the quiver out of his voice and his legs strong. He would never live it down if he slipped on conditioner and coconut oil fingering himself into a mess in the shower. Eddie was a worrier - they’d never get to work on time again. He'd probably get him a LifeAlert. “If you need help, let me know.” Eddie glanced to the lube, and the bathroom door. “Go read your book.” Buck’s voice came, a little wobbly. Eddie weighed his options. If he got in there and got his hands on Buck, it would defeat the whole purpose of his efforts to not harass the poor man for hole every 12 hours. But, God, was it hole worth harassing over.
