Fics like Vicious Mockery (never won a fight)

Steve has never won a fight. He’s had his ass kicked left, right, and center. Hell, Johnathan has kicked his ass. Steve can bat a monster, but when it comes to people? Steve Harrington has never really won a fight. But that’s because he’s getting put in the wrong kinds of fights. They think he’s a hammer, when really, anyone who grew up BFFs with Carol becomes a scalpel. (Dustin gapes like a fish. “Holy shit, dude…” Steve would chide language if he thought it would do anything. “You just performed real life Vicious Mockery. I think that guy took psychic damage!”) ~~~ Or: someone thinks he’s tough shit and is messing with Steve’s kids. Cue the Boss Battle Music. Mama Steve rips the guy to shreds, as he should.
