Fics like sunlight

Jayce pulls him up till he’s sitting, bringing him to his chest and holding him closer. It seems cruel to think of separating, even by an inch. “I love you,” he says, because it’s true. Because Viktor needs to know. Because the words have been trying to burst from his throat since the minute they woke up. “I should’ve told you before we- I mean. I should’ve said. I didn’t want to die without you knowing. I don’t know why I didn’t. I love you. I’ve loved you.” Viktor lets out a choked gasp from where his head is buried in the crook between Jayce’s neck and shoulder. “What?” --- or what happens after the ending of arcane- the slightly more positive version where Jayce and Viktor wake up somewhere new, together and very much alive.
