Fics like you're just a candy apple (the kind of love i can't come back from)

“You bought her a pony.” Taggie frowns. She’s a beautiful little thing, with a soft brown coat and kind eyes; she doesn’t even reach Taggie’s ribs, but she knows she’s the perfect height for her daughter. (Josie is going to flip her lid when she finds out what Daddy’s bought her - going to look like he hung the moon and the stars, because this is so much better than the toy pony Taggie found in the thrift store for her fifth birthday.) “...Yeah.” Taggie frowns harder. “She's six years old.” Rupert shrugs. “I started riding at four.” “So she's taking on the family legacy now, huh.” “Taggie.” “Rupert, she's six years old. She's only just learnt how to ride a bike without the training wheels. How on God's green earth is she supposed to learn how to ride a fucking pony?” “I'll teach her.” - or the one where taggie and rupert adjust to their new normal.
