“Are you a little?” Max's expression doesn't change when Daniel blurts the words at him. He answers, “Yeah.” Then he shrugs. Like Daniel’s entire world doesn’t tilt on its axis with the movement. Like this information was obvious, or innocuous, and shouldn’t completely blow Daniel’s mind the way it does. “What the fuck? Since when.” “Since I was sixteen, obviously, Daniel.” “I would’ve noticed,” he weakly argues. “There is no way I wouldn’t have noticed.” Save for last week, never had Daniel’s caregiver instinct ever been set off by or around Max. There is just no way Max could’ve regressed around him. He would’ve noticed. Daniel can’t be a failure at this, too. “No one notices,” Max replies, “which is good. I am quiet when I regress.” “What do you mean, quiet?” “As in, I do not speak, Daniel.” -- When Daniel discovers that Max, his former teammate and friend, has secretly been a little for as long as they've known each other, he finds himself unable to stand by when he learns that Max might need his help as a caregiver. The problem is, does he want it?
