In 23XX, society has regressed to a time centuries beforehand. While tech has evolved, the decline in population led to a need for women to stay at home and raise kids. Deviation from this norm was to be punished, and the Council in charge of these punishments was rather creative. Or: stories across a dystopia in which women are seen as objects, and the consequences of trying to escape their dehumanization.
