Fics like whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it.

When he thinks back of Heaven, Aziraphale thinks of the War. Or rather, the consequences of it. Aziraphale remembers fondly the never ending skies, the vastity of Heaven, the kindness of the angels. He remembers Her. He remembers Her voice and Her words, he remembers Her instructions and Her abstract hands caressing his whole being. He still thinks of Her, he thinks of Her all the time and he wonders if perhaps that’s not enough. He wonders if it may be bad, he wonders if it’s blasphemy, that he also thinks of Her when he cuts himself.
