Fics like The Galaxy's Biggest Tease

“It’s unfortunate that you’ve been having problems with Master Kenobi,” Palpatine says sympathetically. “The two of you have always been so close.” “Yeah,” Anakin coughs. “Close.” “Then again, I fear our dear Obi-Wan has been getting too caught up in the inflexibility of the Council. They are so strict, so unforgiving. Speaking with Obi-Wan must be especially difficult these days. How can you stand it?” Anakin thinks about the way Obi-Wan’s beard feels against his ear, how warm his hands are when they ruffle Anakin’s hair. That twinkly-blue light in his eyes when Anakin manages to impress him, the way his cheeks flush when he’s been given a genuine compliment. How his lips look so soft– “I really can’t,” Anakin replies miserably.
