Fics like Audentes Fortuna Iuvat

The Galactic Imperium has weathered much. The Unification Wars, the Kroll Purifiers, the Great Khan, the Grey Tempest, the Contingency. The Imperium and its constituent states have endured, and now, they seek new frontiers to explore and exploit. A great project to reach a new galaxy is near completion now, and the first pioneers will soon soar through this alien space. Only, it seems to be already occupied... The Galactic Imperium from my own Stellaris game is entering the Milky Way galaxy as per Mass Effect. They then proceed to very pointedly showcase the difference in scale between a space opera and a 4X strategy game. What is a Reaper in the face of a 30-kilometer long Titan?
