Fics like Of Sea and Sand

As the bastard of a noble family, Irem at-Tavani thought she could only ever find a life that was 'good enough'. Seven years after meeting him aboard his ship, she helps Captain Serano off a desert island with the intention of repaying a debt and moving on. The best laid plans culminate instead into a partnership that neither of them seem able to quit. Oh right, there's a civil war and the world might be ending, too, so maybe we should look into that. A continuation of 'You Like Me Because I'm a Scoundrel', this is just where my imagination went while playing the excellent Val Serano companion mod by Axarien. This will likely be more of a collection of scenes that occur to me while playing rather than a super linear story.
