Buck must decide what to do, now that he’s not under the power of Eddie-wanting-him-as-a-mate. Waiting for Abby doesn’t seem sustainable long term, and Eddie did offer himself on a plate… but he’s not available now, he’s still married. Working with Eddie is a challenge that Buck will have to face while making his decision and hoping it won’t influence anything. If you read the first fic in the series, skip the prologue chapter.
