Fics like The True Meaning of Success

Taking place in 2037 (Meet the Robinsons timeline), 13-year-old Wilbur Robinson, son of Cornelius and Franny Robinson, is best friends with 14-year-old Mirabel Madrigal, a bright girl with a genius's mind. Much like a young Cornelius Robinson, Mirabel begins an early successful path, inventing multiple prototypes and projects while interning under Robinson Industries. The Robinson family adores the young girl who seems to have shadows covering her eyes. There is one problem: her family, the Madrigals, don't seem to believe in Mirabel's talents. With the other children having more favoritism and bias towards them, Mirabel struggles to stay afloat in the family. Dependent on them, but unable to attain their approval, the madrigals don't see the girl's brilliant mind. But What happens when the Robinsons take notice? What happens when Franny and Cornelius grow a connection to the girl whom Wilbur sees as an older sister? What happens when shit hits the fan? Success seems so close, yet so far away...
