Fics like our little guardian angel

“You’re not finding your way back to us, are you?” Fabian asks. Riz falls to his knees and shakes his head, looking down at the grass. He had the same thought, months ago. He begged and pleaded with his dad, with gods, with anyone who would listen, to let him go back. He wasn’t done on the Material Plane. He had more life to live. His dad said he could be made a field angel. That was the best he would get and Riz took the offer. It meant that he could observe the living, at the very least, and start to interact with the world once he got more stable. - or: On the first day of senior year, Riz dies. He comes back as an invisible, incorporeal angel and begins the process of teaching himself how to interact with the Prime Material Plane again. [5 times that he used his newfound powers to help his friends and 1 time that they returned the favor.]
