Fics like So much more than alright

When Sam's ex shows up in the same pub as them, Sam hastily scrapes together a plan; Luke agreed to it (kind of), and pretending you're taken is one way to get your ex to leave you alone. But what happens when you two end up away from the crowds in London, drunk, and your best friend looks like an angel under these streetlights? --- “Okay,” Sam mumbled regretfully. “If she comes over, can you– can you just play along?” "With what?" Luke, perhaps reasonably, asked. “It shouldn’t come to it anyway if no-one—” “Sam!” Oh for God's sake. Talk about timing.
