Percy went to breathe, but immediately started coughing, the pollution of the waters weakening him as quickly as it strengthened him. Batman was scowling down at him, water dripping from his cowl, his frown more pronounced than it was before Percy’s stunt. “Are you finished yet?” “Well that was just embarrassing,” Percy muttered, reluctantly pushing himself to his knees. “Go on a week-long quest and win in a duel against my crazy cousin only to be immediately defeated by Batman.” - OR - In which Percy Jackson is an orphaned teen with dark hair and light eyes, and Bruce Wayne has an adoption addiction.
