Fics like Waking Up With Someone In Your Mind

Note: Roleplay characters’ names have been changed to protect their identities. I wouldn’t just go blabbing about Illuminati operatives or Dragon assets, now, would I? * Target Audience: Me. Self-indulgent AF * Since 2021, my friend has been running a roleplaying campaign based on The Secret World MMO, and my highly intelligent hacker-character with massive trust-issues, Prentis, got tagged by the Dreamers who tempted him to accept their gifts. The temptation that really hit the mark was a vision of coming home to a warm and safe house on a lonely cliffside far from everything to a loving husband who he trusted implicitly to never abandon him because an adventure in the past had let them read each other’s minds and feelings. The certainty of being safe and loved; the ultimate temptation for Prentis, who had been handed off to abusive strangers as a child. Since, ridiculously, we can't game every day (pfff!), this fic, putting flesh on a story that only happened to my character as a cruel vision, is my way to interact with The Secret World during downtime. It’s a whole little romance with a small, linear plotline.
