Fics like grindrgate (it’s fine, it’s cool)

It’s not at all like a gunshot—and Buck would like to thank Dr. Miriam Copeland for the fact that he can think about that at all, much less think about it long enough to draw a comparison—but the way the sound cuts through the idle noise of the station is immediate in a way that brings the sound of a gunshot to his mind. Maybe it’s because the last time a sound came from somewhere beyond his left shoulder and heralded a life-changing realization, it was a gunshot. Buck realizes three things, in this order: First: That was a notification alert from Grindr. Second: That notification alert came from Eddie’s phone. Third: Eddie has Grindr? Apparently? — Eddie forgets to silence his phone; Buck throws himself on the figurative grenade.
