Fics like Purgatory

Left alone and abandoned with fractured bonds after the return to his home town, Akira Kurusu is tired. He fought for Humanity, killed two gods and gave his all for his friends that can’t seem to spare a minute for him. Falling deeper into a spiral he doesn’t realise what has happened until Arsene is before him to take him away so he can finally rest. Goro Akechi is supposed to have died twice yet here he is again at the will of the universe to save his only friend? Partner? And apparently the Phantom Thieves cannot be trusted because of their betrayal in January. Goro enlists Sumire’s help and together they will save him. When the Phantom Thieves finally realise Akira is in danger can they admit to their mistakes or will they only jeopardise him further.
