Fics like Z is for Zinnia
Flowers hold meaning. Some symbolize love and longing, others symbolize hate and fear. Zinnia's symbolize lasting affection and daily remembrance. But how does Alastor know that...? He doesn't recognize these flowers, yet they feel so achingly familiar. And who is the man he always sees holding them? An innocent bouquet of flowers in a hazy, distant memory. Why can't he remember? Are these memories even his? Is it related to the person who owns his soul...? And why does he not know who it is? Or: No mortal shall ever remember the supernatural they witnessed in life after death, and Lucifer cannot bear to see the man he loves not remember who he is.
