In the gritty underbelly of Gotham City, Leo Martinez finds solace in a rundown boxing gym where he can escape the chaos of his job with the GCPD - but his routine is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious stranger who trains in silence, shrouded in anonymity. Meanwhile, Gotham is hit with a new serial killer leaving cryptic words on the bodies of each of his victims. Leo and Batman's paths cross in unexpected ways as they try to solve the case, forcing them to confront feelings that bind them both in a city where trust is a rare commodity.
