Fics like An Old Friend

But Kenny couldn’t stop the flood of emotions. He shook his head against Chef’s chest, clinging onto him like a child who wanted to be held by their father after a nightmare. Chef’s eyes softened at the gesture, his thumb brushing away a tear from Kenny’s cheek. At that, his sobs quieted just a bit. For the first time in a long while, Kenny didn’t feel like he had to hold everything together on his own. “I d-don’t want to keep doing this,” Kenny admitted quietly, taking Chef’s hand and squeezing on it as hard as he could. As if letting go might mean losing Chef all over again. “It’s too much. I hate coming back to life. I don’t know why I keep coming back at all…” As per usual, Kenny dies. Kenny runs into his old friend Chef. Inspired by @/littlepige_ fanart on twt
