Fics like How to Die For a Cause You Didn’t Join

Kurt Wagner is 14, doesn’t speak a lick of English, and he is going to escape the Weapon X program alive, no matter what. That was the original plan. When they recapture him and maim him to keep him from escaping again, he’s ready to give up. But when the X-Men become his new cellmates, he starts to think that maybe, just maybe, he could actually go home to the circus and forget it ever happened. Of course, it’s never that simple, is it? A very whumpy expansion, focusing mostly on Nightcrawler (and some Jean Grey because she’s awesome) in the “Return to Weapon X” arc (issues 7-12) of Ultimate X-Men. (2001) Spoilers, obviously, but if you don’t know what’s going on it’s okay, I’m including as much context as I can :)) (discontinued)
