Fics like Poznan

In a world where animal traits were common, Phoenixes’ were almost mystical in rarity. Every few decades surged a rumour somewhere in the world of a person born with phoenix wings - glowing red feathers with yellow dots at the tips as if sprinkled with gold. Normal phoenixes soon went almost extinct due to hunts, as the last few remaining hundreds were incarcerated and bred for the industry selling their feathers. Human hybrids, however, were a different story. The bigger the feather, the greater the power. So with wings spanning a couple feet across, it was even rarer to spot a phoenix hybrid alive. Most of them as soon as they were born, would mysteriously disappear never to be seen again - whether willingly or not. or Felps and Cellbit's lives (and friendship) across obstacles and decades.
