Fics like in your own footsteps, again

Jing Yuan blinks, and the world around him tilts and morphs so quickly that he could almost mistake himself for having fainted if he wasn’t clearly still upright and standing. A look around the room they are currently in, and it only takes a moment for memory to kick in and recognise it as his master’s old estate. Except… it doesn’t exist. Not anymore. His beloved Dan Heng, who is still standing across from him, and who has always been considerably shorter than him, is now directly at his eye level. Judging by the horrified look he has on his face, he must have also come to the same conclusion. (Or : In which a gift from Stelle sends Jing Yuan and Dan Heng tumbling into the past. Turns out trying to act like a 700 year younger version of yourself is not nearly as easy as one thinks; and meeting your previous incarnation that hugely fucked up your current life isn’t so bad after all.)
