Fics like A Taste as Sweet as a Broken Smile

The moment his fangs broke through the human’s skin, Minho knew he’d made a mistake. He could taste it, like petrol filling his mouth. The blood was noxious, strong and bitter as poison, the common metallic undertones all drowned out by the overwhelmingly rancid taste of illness. He released the human instantly, shoving backwards. Oh, he thought, finally realising why this pitiful creature was always alone when his kind were so inclined to the company of their kindred. You’re dying. Or: Lee Minho despises humans. They’re foul and cruel and he has no use for them past what they offer him as a living food source. Bang Chan isn’t different. He’s just as human as the rest of them, just as despicable. He saved Minho once and was repaid by not being devoured. They’re even. Minho owes him nothing. He doesn’t know why his mind lingers on thin wrists, or pained eyes, why his voice was so gentle when he knew Minho planned to kill him, why his touch was softer again. Bang Chan is a fool. Lee Minho might just be a bigger one. *Written for a MinChanFest prompt! *ON HIATUS*
