Fics like Oshi no Ko [Rewrite]
An interview. For the "26 years of lies" movie. It's a real challenge for Hoshino Ruby to portray the living legend who paved the way to Japanese idols and Jpop songs around the globe---Ai from B-Komachi. "What would you say to her if Ai's here right in front of you?" The interviewer asks, curious. Ruby swallows and smiles right through the camera. "I hope you're proud of me and Aqua wherever you are." She chokes out. "I love you, mama." Or a rewrite of Oshi no ko wherein Aqua and Ruby are both treated as dual protagonists, the plot balanced between the entertainment industry and revenge (and much later, the supernatural elements). A slow burn story.
