Fics like Lift Me Up

It's June 1990 and Jeff releases his first solo album 'Armchair Theater'. He does an in-store appearance at Tower Records with Richard Tandy riding shotgun. Meanwhile Tess Groves' career has risen and fallen since her last encounter with Jeff. She got into heavy cocaine use coupled with drinking and was in rehab, finally getting clean and sober for good in late 1988. She's also become an in-demand songwriter whose songs have taken her beyond her wildest dreams. When she crosses Jeff's bow at Tower Records, old memories assail her and she feels drawn in once more.
