When the wound of Chris leaving was super fresh, Eddie tried to isolate himself, whipping every excuse into the air to be alone but Buck would invite himself to come over anyway. He eventually just let Buck hang out with him without the back and forth. Sometimes, he would try to get Eddie to leave the house; pester him to go on a walk with him, go out for a bite, or just for a drive. Don’t push too hard, he’ll resent you, a voice whispers to him. But it was the thought of Eddie sitting in an empty home, sad and lonely and guilt-ridden, it made him sick to his stomach. Honestly, Buck just really wants to help.
