Fics like in your room, like a temple

This was the shit that kept Richie up. He thought about it at the Beef, when he got gas, when he was smoking on his terrace. He thought about the look on Carmy’s face when he got held down. He thought about how Carmen was so fucking young. Tried to make himself feel bad. Teenage Carmy was even freakier looking, skinny and neurotic like a fucking chihuahua. Richie would bum him smokes at Christmas because Mikey wouldn’t give him any. They would chain smoke in silence, the sounds of shouting from inside barely audible. Fingers brushing as they huddled together to try and light up. When Richie thinks about it now he feels like a scumbag. Especially when he’s inside Carmy.
