“Fuck, Henry,” Alex groans, his hand slipping beneath Henry’s waistband, “You’re driving me crazy.” Henry gasps, grabbing Alex’s wrist to still him. "Wait.” Alex looks down, eyes wide with confusion, maybe even panic. “What? You’re not—?” “No, I am.” Henry sits up, brushing his hair back from his forehead. “But I’m not here for some ‘secret fling’ thing. I’m not just another hookup.” Alex freezes, his usual bravado faltering. There’s a vulnerability in his expression that Henry hasn’t seen before. Maybe that was just wishful thinking on Henry’s part. “You think I don’t care?” Alex says, sounding almost hurt. “You think this is just nothing to me?” Henry searches Alex’s face, surprised by the intensity of his response. “I don’t know what this is.” Alex bites his lip, then lets out a long breath. “Neither do I. But I want to figure it out.” There’s a moment of silence before Henry nods slowly. He feels stupid as he does it, giving away his conviction so easily to something as precarious as Alex’s hands. “Okay. Then let’s figure it out.” ---- alternatively, the classic game of college hookups complete with emotional manipulation and mindblowing sex.
