“I thought we were— I don’t know. Friends, almost.” At that, Dash barks out a laugh. He’s got a lot of feelings about Marshall Teller, but friendship isn’t one of them. When he looks at Marshall, he feels… hungry, in a way he can’t describe. Afraid, in a way he isn’t comfortable with. Needy, in a way he’ll never admit. When he looks at Marshall, with his soft blue eyes and his warmth, Dash wants to crawl under Marshall’s skin so he can never be rid of Dash. Dash doesn’t say any of that. “Oh, Teller,” he says instead, standing up. “We’ll never be friends.”
