Fics like One Cup

They are talking about politics, about the Emperor’s ministers, names and faces known to Zhang Ping but not well. And yet beneath that conversation is a second conversation that’s happening silently. Lan Jue raises his cup and gives Wang Yan a long look from beneath his delicate brows before drinking, his lips wet and glistening in the candlelight. Wang Yan runs his thumb slowly up and down the long narrow length of his wine jar, a rhythm that makes Zhang Ping’s throat tight, his cheeks hot. OR: Lan Jue and Wang Yan invite Zhang Ping for an evening of moon viewing.
