Fics like [BLOODY MARY]

Hajime likes to think that he is kind. He doesn't assume that reputation weightlessly, neither self-assumptive nor presumptuous in nature. He's heard it from friends, foes, and everywhere in between. In caring for the people he loves, he makes them happy with words and actions and time well spent. Hajime is forgiving, in most cases. Trusting, and maybe even a bit naive. “Umemiya, why the hell do you keep draggin' me up here?" It’s not an insult (it's just his name, after all) but with the way it's growled, it may as well be one. Sakura stares him down from across the row of cherry tomatoes. There's dirt on his cheekbone and he’s removed his jacket from the heat, but he still has a nasty glare that could freeze hell over. Hajime idly wonders who he picked that up from. Hiragi? Not likely. Kaji? More plausible. Himself? …well. Hajime is a kind man. He’d even go at lengths to say he is a noble one too. Yet, there is something about Sakura Haruka that brings out the devil in him. (Stand-alone. You do not need to read the other fics in the series to understand this one.)
