Angry voices would only frighten him. “John was plenty of foul things,” Bobby’s solemn voice continued, “but he was nowhere near as bad as my horse shit father, so maybe I wouldn’t know the difference myself.” Dean was not sure how to reply, so he didn’t. - Sam had been tortured beyond what humanity was capable of comprehending. If he needed to be nurtured by his elder brother - or coddled as Bobby puts it - then so be it. He deserved a gentle hand after what he’d been through.
