hongjoong likes being alone. he’s not sure if he necessarily likes being lonely. but he’s coping. he got out of a bad home years ago, leaving his heart behind in a town he could never return to, he should be over it and recovered by now. recovery isn’t linear, and it becomes even more of a rollercoaster when the boy he left his heart with all those years ago finds him again in the center of a new city; taller and more confident and clearly, distinctly part of a pack that hongjoong would have no place in even if he longed for it. (it is a risk to love. ‘what if it doesn’t work out?’ oh, but what if it does.)
