Fics like Shining Just for You

The class project from Mr. Lancer was supposed to last only a semester. Danny figured he’d do the minimum three letters to be exchanged with the one school Lancer could find willing to be Casper High School’s partner, write the stupid ‘journal’ entry on what he learned from the experience, and be done with it. But here it was, more than a year and countless letters later. What do you even say to a penpal? ‘Hi, the weather here was great, the weather report warns the town if my dad is expected on the road and my Calc test got rescheduled because the Lunch Lady didn’t like the new dessert options’? Turns out, just that. Because Danny gets back ‘That sucks, dude. It rained here, my foster brother got kidnapped again and he’s sad. Lunch Lady and Condiment King should never meet. I think I still smell like relish from his attack last week’.
